If this is your first visit to the KI USA online Bookstore, we highly recommend you read this entire page before visiting the Bookstore. It will take only a few minutes, and will familiarize you with the Bookstore's navigation, help, and search features. If you find you are having trouble with the shopping cart, please visit our Bookstore Help webpage (see link on top horizontal navigation bar) for more information and troubleshooting.
About KI USA's Online Bookstore
To enter the bookstore, click the format of the item you would like to browse or order (see left navigation sidebar, or box above right). Once "inside" the Bookstore you will have access to the shopping cart software, and will be able to order online. If you prefer to order by mail, go to the Printable Order Forms section of the Catalog webpage.
To browse the Bookstore, please note that:
- Books are listed alphabetically by Title
- Recordings (Audiotapes, Books On Tape, CDs, and Videotapes) are listed alphabetically by Tape Code
- The Complimentary link will take you to the complimentary items in our shopping cart, where you can order print copies. Most complimentary booklets are also available online on the Introduction and Catalog webpages.
- KI USA Newsletters are found on the Newsletter webpage. Print copies can be backordered through the Bookstore Newsletter link.
Bookstore vs. other webpages
The Bookstore webpage is "inside" the Shopping Cart software, and functions differently from the rest of the website. You might notice navigation buttons inside the Bookstore webpages that do not exist on other webpages (see top horizontal bar and left navigational sidebar).
You are "inside the Bookstore" when:
- You can see the product formats listed in the left sidebar (audio, CD, etc. under the Bookstore button), and the top navigation bar (orange bar below our blue KI banner). Scroll up and look now.
- These options are only available when "in" the Bookstore. Click on the Bookstore button when you want to shop, search for specific books or recordings, or checkout.
You are "outside the Bookstore" when:
- You do not see the products (audiotapes, CDs, etc.) in the left sidebar, and there is no top navigation bar.
- You click on other webpage buttons or links " inside" the Bookstore, and they take you "outside" the Bookstore (and vice versa).
- To get back into the Bookstore, just click the Bookstore button.
TRY THIS: Click back and forth a couple times between the Catalog and Bookstore buttons (in the left sidebar) to see the changes in the sidebar and top navigation.

About Our CDs
Conversion Timeframe. KI USA is in the process of converting Kappeler's audiocassette recordings into digital format, a project that will continue through at least 2008. KI USA is accepting CD-mp3 or CD-audio orders on a first-come, first serve basis. When you order, we will add your request to the "conversion queue" and provide you with an approximate wait-time. Your order will not be charged until it is shipped. To find the CDs available for immediate purchase, please click on the CD button in the left column. To see a list of recordings in the conversion queue, see our What's New webpage.
CD-mp3. The prices listed for CDs in the Bookstore and Catalog are for "mp3 format." This format is a data file, not an audio file. Mp3 is a condensed format, allowing us to put more than 20 hours of audio on one CD. Our mp3 formated CDs can be played in desktop computers, compatible DVD players, and files can be converted and downloaded to portable music players (like iPods, etc.). Since our mp3 files are rather large (30 minutes instead of the regular 3-5 minutes), this might cause them not to work with some mp3 compatible devices. CD-mp3 format is the least expensive recording option.
CD-audio format. CD-audio is the same format used in music CDs, and will play in all CD players. There is approximately one hour of audio on each CD (18 hours = 18 CDs). CD-audio must be special-ordered. The price of CD-audio is $8 per hour.
Mix and Match Pricing. Our M- and X- series minitapes are listed with their "regular price" on this website. You might notice, however, that ordering an entire CD-mp3 with only 1 or 2 hours of recordings is not cost-effective. To make our minitapes more affordable, we offer Mix and Match Pricing.
With Mix and Match Pricing, you may order as many minitapes as you wish at one time, up to 40 hours, to be grouped onto 1-2 custom CD-mp3s. We have over 60 minitapes to choose from, each from 1-7 hours in length.
Mix and Match prices are as follows:
- 1-5 hours, $20
- 6-10 hours, $30
- 11-15 hours, $40
- 16-20 hours, $50
- 21-24 hours, $60
- 25-30 hours, $70
- 31-35 hours, $80
- 36-40 hours, $90
