Study Partners Program

Study Partners Program is a service of the KI USA. It is set up as a self-organizing, self-directing, voluntary association of individuals, with the purpose to provide a structure to support individual study in Science.

Study partners may choose to study together, study the same material separately at their own pace, or may merely contact each other occasionally to discuss issues that come up during study. Study partners may support each other in person, via phone, chat-room, or e-mail.

Study partners are NOT set up to provide instruction or answer questions in Science. Please direct all Science questions to the KI USA staff—we are happy to help you in this regard.

To place your name on our KI USA Study Partners List:

1) Please read the full text of the KI USA Study Partners Program.
2) Fill out the appropriate forms, and return the forms to KI USA.
3) Agree to abide by the KI USA Study Partners Policy.

Recordings Lending Program

KI USA has created the Recordings Lending Program to make it easier for students to access Max Kappeler's recorded lectures. Studying recordings in conjunction with books will add depth and richness to your study of Science, and your understanding will progress more rapidly.

Borrowing Recordings from Kappeler Institute USA
Any of the recordings listed in the KI USA Catalog can be borrowed directly from KI USA. There is a limited supply of recordings available for loan, so requests will be handled on a first come, first serve basis.

Lending Fees
KI USA lending fees differ by format. The fees are:

  • Audiocassettes:                 $3 per hour
  • CD-mp3 format: not available for lending
  • CD-audio format:                $4 per hour

Lending fees include illustrative materials (printed study materials specific to each recording). Shipping costs are paid by the borrower. We recommend returning the recordings via Media Mail, an inexpensive shipping option available through the US Postal Service.

Lending Period
The lending period is based on the length of the recorded class, usually between 2 and 5 months (approximately 2 tape-hours per week allotted time for study). KI USA recommends that students listen to each recorded class at least twice—the first time to get the tone of the subject, the second time to discern the structure of the subject and take notes for future study.

Lending Process
Once you have decided which recording set(s) you would like to borrow, use our Book and Recordings Order Form (pdf, 90 KB) to order recordings. Please mail or FAX this form to KI USA, and make sure that you indicate that you are borrowing the recordings, so you can be charged appropriately.

Used Books and Recordings Donation Program

If you are looking for a good home for your "used" Kappeler book and recordings, please consider donating them to the KI USA.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we can provide you with a tax-deductible receipt for the "fair price" of the used books and/or recordings. In turn, we sell these books as "used," or provide them at a greatly reduced price to students who cannot afford to purchase materials at the full price.

Unmarked books in good condition are worth approximately 50% of their retail price, and marked-up books are worth 10-20% retail. The value of recordings varies greatly, depending on their age.

If you want to know the value of your Kappeler "collection" in advance, please provide KI USA with a list of materials and their condition, and we will give you an estimate of the total donation receipt (actual value is determined after KI USA receives and inventories the materials). And, if you ship the materials to us via USPS Media Mail, we will reimburse you for shipping costs.

Please make arrangements with KI USA in advance of mailing your collection. To find out more about donating your Kappeler used books and recordings, please contact KI USA.
